Obviously nice and sharp straight out the packet. But I was impressed by how the bit made sure the waste was cleared from the rebate (even on knotty pine) so none of this business of stopping and getting your finger in there to see what you''ve done. The benefit of this was being able to gradually cut the rebate and so be in better control. The 1/4" shaft hasn''t shown any signs of flexing, giving a precise cut, and I am using it a way of the collet. If I''d used it more and it was still sharp it would get the extra star.

No complaints about this router bit! Does the job and after a few months usage on hard woods, still cuts nicely. I would recommend Silverline products to anyone!
