If you see my other review you''ll see I was very pleased with my first purchase. So pleased in fact that I bough a second for my other workshop. I use one or the other on a daily basis (frequently both on the same day), and the second one has proven to be equally good. No hesitation in highly recommending this inverter.

I''ve been using inverters in my workshop for 10 years (No Mains there), so I know the problems that can occur with ALL inverters. The main one is that although a tool can be rated at 500 watts, the current required on start up is much higher. For example my last inverter was an expensive German made one rated at 1000 watts. It would run an 800 watt angle grinder fine but could not cope with my big bench sander, even though only 500 watts. It''s all to do with the inertia required to start the heavy tool. That was the reason fur buying the Silverline, and am happy to report it runs both angle grinder and bench sander. AND as a bonus it runs my 1800 watt table saw, which I certainly didn''t expect it to. It may be to do with the soft start on the table saw, but it was a very unexpected bonus.......... no more running a long mains cable to the workshop. Excellent tool, can''t praise it highly enough.

We had purchased a different brand inverter and it caused our equipment to malfunction. We replaced it with the Silverline inverter and our problems disappeared. It has great build quality and runs perfectly, doesn''t appear to get too hot and doesn''t make much, if any, noise. Would happily recommend and will purchase again if we need more capacity!
