The metal dowel is weak, mine is broken. But it can be easily replaced by screw and nut. Good value for money.

I bought the paving slab lifter to reset a hollow in my patio. Initially I had trouble getting it to fit the slabs, 450mm x 450mm, and was on the verge of returning the item. As a last resort I gently bent the hinge part creating a more promenant inverted ''u'' shape. This worked and the tool did the job more than adequately. Quite pleased with it really made my work far easier.
