Bought this from an eBay based seller and the shaft broke clean through by the head after just a few swings splitting logs. Luckily the seller is refunding but not a solid product

I was given one of these axes as a gift less than 12 months ago and yesterday the shaft split near the axe head whilst splitting logs. The item is supposed to be ''guaranteed forever'', but so far the Silverline customer service team have been very unhelpful and are not prepared to replace the axe despite sending photos of the failed product
