I recently purchased two new 14tpi from a recognised Silverline dealer GEEJAY AND DAUGHTER LTD on the 13th March via a well know buy now website. I have had these before and they have proven to be satisfactory and simple so long as you do not stress them and only use on wood no thicker than 5mm. On this occasion I was working on 3mm MDF after having fitted them only one week ago. I have the perfect tension set on the bandsaw and bang the blade broke. I regularly clean the machine to ensure there is no obstruction yet it proved to be too much and the blade broke. The exact brake was not on the meld so assume this was a faulty example. The Guaranteed Forever is shown on the packaging so whether this can be replaced i certainly hope so as I expect a longer life than being used twice on work that should not cause such a result.
