My experience with Silverline products is that they are cheap for a reason. I bought 16 of these clips a week or so ago. One broke the first time it was squeezed open and another has broken today - the plastic on the hinge has snapped allowing the clip to twist. So, there is a warranty and protection in the Sale of Goods Act, but retailers push you straight off to Silverline who only accept claims online and have never, in numerous attempted warranty claims on other products, got anywhere with warranty claims. Broadly, if you treat these as cheap and disposable, they are just about OK, but a quality product they are not!
