These ear defenders were great for my teenage daughter who has Autism and is very sensitive to noise. However the clips on the side do come off sometimes. But you can clip them back on. They cancel out alot of background noise. These are great for any age. They can be used from age 7 and up to age 20 if you wanted to. They are a very bright green/yellow colour so they are are handy if you have a child who goes out and about at night.
