Works well for quick touch ups on smaller items, or to polish something that is too large or awkward to fit near a regular bench grinder. Considering the cheap price the arbor had no defects and was great. As a tip to anyone new to polishing, don''t cross contaminate your wheels unless you understand the consequences. Use one wheel for a particular compound, and depending on the intended use, reserve them only for a particular material. If you polish stainless on a wheel that''s previously been used to polish non-stainless, the surface will be impregnated with a steel of a much lower chromium content and disrupt the oxygen induced layer from reforming on the surface that enables it to be rust resistant/stainless. In other words, you''ll end up with speckles of rust everywhere.

There is no instruction on how to use the kit. I tried to put the polishing compound on the wheel and it disintigrated. What and how are you supposed to do with it without instructions?

I have just brought your "Silverline polishing kit 6pce". It looks as if it might be what I want, but to say it includes a "green & red polishing compound" is meaningless. What grit size is it?
I hope that you can advise.

Purchased to clean up an old printing press. Worked really well on years of grime, using the green bar it put a shine on even the most rusty part. Will definitely recommend this product.

Contains three buffing wheels in useful sizes. Brings a good shine to metal. Screw has reverse thread, which should have been pointed out on the packaging. No instructions or tips supplied - I don''t know what the two different colours of polishing compound mean, or should be used for. Overall, good value.

I have bought, over the years, many Silverline tools, the polishing kit is one of the most recent and it works well. I have always been impressed by the design, quality and value of these tools. I think my last purchase was a ratchet chuck key which works very well. Why didn''''t someone think of that before?
